How does the Leverage Your Art course work?

Modified on Thu, Jan 1 at 9:44 AM

Leverage Your Art is a structured 8-module program designed to help artists turn their existing artwork, designs, and creative skills into consistent revenue through licensing and related income streams. The course walks you step-by-step from “I have art… now what?” to pitching companies, building professional portfolios, and creating a sustainable business plan.

Here’s how the course is organized:

  • Module 0 (available immediately): Orientation & Foundations

  • Modules 1–8: Released every 7 days at 10:00 AM Central Time

  • Implementation Weeks: After Modules 2 and 4, to catch up, practice, and apply what you’ve learned

  • Total Learning Experience: Approximately 8 weeks of content (with flexibility to go at your own pace)

What you’ll learn inside the course

The curriculum focuses on both the creative and business sides of licensing:

  • How to prepare your artwork and portfolio for industry standards

  • How licensing works (products, royalties, contract terms, common mistakes)

  • How to pitch your work to art directors so your emails actually get opened

  • How to build a memorable brand and online presence that companies can trust

  • How to approach companies that match your style, values, and product goals

  • How to read and understand contracts (with insights from a licensing attorney)

  • How to strategically expand into multiple income streams (education, products, books, wholesale, and more)

You’ll see real-world examples from Stacie’s own partnerships, fabric lines, children’s book deals, and product collections — so you’re learning from proven experience, not theory.

Is this only for licensing?

No — while licensing is a core focus, the course also supports artists who want to:

  • Design fabric, wallpaper, nursery decor, or pattern-based products

  • Pitch book ideas or illustrated stories to publishers

  • Launch their own wholesale line or product brand

  • Choose which revenue streams make the most sense for their lifestyle and art style

You’ll learn how to take what you already have (your art!) and move toward a sustainable business plan that feels realistic, aligned, and profitable.

How support works

  • You’ll have access to a private online community

  • Stacie’s team answers questions and offers guidance throughout the program

  • You are welcome to go at your own pace — modules stay available to you for as long as the program is offered
